You can't do that in toolkits, no. I'm not aware of anything that will
do what you want: we had a similar request a while ago for something to
annotate scripts from plays, and couldn't find anything suitable,

Subject: Annotating a document in XOT
Hi all,
We are developing some Moodle-based resources for an HE Study Skills
Unit for Foundation Degree students, and need a way for users to read a
short document and annotate it using different colours. Looking at Xerte
Online Toolkits I see that it supports Flashpaper but I'm guessing it
won't let you annotate the document?
If we can't do this in XOT can anyone suggest a tool that will work and
embed in the browser in Moodle (i.e doesn't require the user to download
, say, a Word file, annotate it and re-upload it).
cheers
Julian
