The CSSS 2010 planning committee is pleased to announce that at this year's CSSS annual conference, the work of two student-led papers will be selected for special recognition based on their potential to advance computational social science. Awards will be given for the best working models or completed ABM-based investigations (e.g., docking experiments). The following criteria must be met for award consideration:
· A student must be the first or only author,
· The work should reflect, primarily, the student's efforts,
· Working models can be presented at the conference, or experimental work is demonstrably relevant to the goals of CSSS, and
· The conference submission is sufficiently detailed to allow adequate committee evaluation.
Awardees will present their work on Saturday November 6, at the conference luncheon. Presentations will consist of a 20 minute talk (and demonstration if applicable) followed by 10 minutes for questions. Each award winner will receive a certificate signifying this honor plus $100.00.
