Me neither. I never feel comfortable in a house without books. John
Waters's main advice to people is never to fuck a person who doesn't
own any books. I reckon he's right, too.
We've got around 340 feet of shelves. Even going through the books
now, and swearing at them, there are hardly any I would sell or give
away (and those are going). I just wish I owned a house that we could
build shelves into! Then I would never have to move again! Why isn't
Spielberg buying the film rights to my books? Then I could have a
house with a whole library!
Trevor Joyce solves this problem by living in a three-storey library.
Even the bathroom has bookshelves.
