The 'forward' prize? Ha! I take it you didn't actually watch the game
Dave - Rooney was awful, the most ineffective player on the pitch.
Tragic. Terry was terrible (never recovered from all that media
cafuffle in my opinion), Lampard was a shadow of his normal self,
Johnson looked tired. I felt sorry for Gerard - I think he was really
trying but it just wasn't happening around him, then he had to face
the cameras at the end.
I am not sure if any real parallel can be made between the national
team and 'national' poetry - perhaps I'm like those TV police
detectives who don't believe in coincidences - so why is our music so
good? Confused dot com.
