A Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Physical Chemistry is
available at UC Davis in the research group of Professor William M.
Jackson in the Department of Chemistry. The NSF funded project is to
study the Photodissociation and Photoionization of C2 and other
diatomic molecules using the slice imaging technique. The position is
for one year and it is extendable to by mutual agreement. Candidates
should have experience in one or more of the following areas: mass
spectrometry, laser spectroscopy, slice imaging, surface science
techniques, molecular beams, ion beams and ion optics, high vacuum
techniques, or instrumental design, construction, and data
acquisition. Strong communication skills and the ability to
collaborate are essential. Interested candidates are invited to send
