Hi all,
I’m writing to remind you that AI Speech Ltd together with teachers
from four schools are going to host a workshop to introduce An
INNOVATIVE approach and REAL CASES to teach spoken Chinese at schools
in the upcoming SSAT annual Chinese conference on Day 2 (Saturday 3rd
July 2010), Workshop 5 (10.45-11.35), Stevenson Lecture Theatre.
Teaching spoken Chinese has always been a challenge. Not enough time
to instruct individual learners, no efficient way to teach tones, no
speaking homework – although speaking is regarded important skill,
spoken Chinese is effectively given up by both teachers and students.
Working closely with experienced teachers, AI Speech- a Cambridge
high-tech company developed Speachi, a speech-enabled intelligent
interactive system which makes teaching spoken Chinese effective and
manageable. In the workshop we will not only introduce and give a demo
of SpeaChi, but also FIVE teachers will talk about how they have been
using the system and the new approach at their schools as well as the
lessons, experiences, findings and best practices learnt during the
period.
You’re more than welcome to join us in the workshop for further
discussions or feel free to come to our stand throughout the
conference on Friday and Saturday.
For those who can’t make the SSAT conference, please feel free to
visit www.speachi.com and use Registration Code JISCMAIL to join the
free trial.
A huge thanks to you all for your interest and support in SpeaChi – we
look forward to seeing many of you in the coming annual Chinese
conference and hope you all benefit from the proved effective and
innovative approach!
