Hi folks
Here at UHI we are setting up our Serials Solutions access to our journals collections. We are, for the most part, using our shibbolized journals collections from our A-Z Online Resources list as is. We do have a couple of collections that we have had to set up using EZProxy for our Online Resources List and we are using the EZProxy link for those collections via Serials Solutions.
I've asked our technical person if he would set up the other journals collections to work with EZProxy as well as Shib because at individual journal level via Serials Solutions EZProxy seems to produce less clicks to take the user to the correct journal than a shibbolized resource. It would be interesting to know if other instutions are doing something similar - having Shibbolized resources outside of Serials Solutions but making those same resources EZProxied in Serials Solutions to reduce the number of clicks taken to get to an individual journal.
There is the possibility that a resource can only work either / or - using either Shib or EZProxy. But that is a different discussion to be had with my technical person.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Regards
