LabSpace is a Moodle based learning environment which has operated for the past three years as part of the OU's OpenLearn initiative, to encourage and support sharing, and in particular ‘remixing’ of open educational resources. This space has received more than 9 million This event will review what happens in LabSpace and explore its development into a sector-friendly sharing space. So, this is an event which is relevant to current LabSpace users and those who have not yet tried LabSpace for themselves. An option based on hands on activity in the afternoon, will supply pointers on how to get started, or to move existing LabSpace use to the next stage.
The plenary sessions will share ideas around how LabSpace has been used and the techical developments underway, including rendering as ePub, MP3 and accessible DAISY talking books formats from the Autumn. We will draw on several examples from outside the OU to inspire and inform, including a presentation on JorumOpen - the rapidly expanding Creative Commons licensed national repository. (Find out more by visiting their site at Jorum<http://www.jorum.ac.uk/searchOptions.html>).
PLEASE REGISTER BY 22nd JUNE by emailing the booking form to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
