*On Behalf of Matt Jukes and apologies for cross posting*
On Friday 23rd July JISC is hosting an international showcase for Open
Education Resources in London and to take advantage of this there is
going to be an informal meetup the evening before in central London
upstairs at the Theodore Bullfrog pub near Charing Cross station and
the Strand to discuss some of the technical challenges that OER
discovery offers and also some of the solutions that are already
starting to emerge.
Nathan Yergler, CTO of Creative Commons will be attending from the US
and Pippa Buchanan who is working on the P2PU/Mozilla Drumbeat 'School
of Web Craft' project will be coming over from Berlin. Members of the
JISC Cetis team who have been working on the technical aspects of the
current UKOER work will also be attending.
We also have the brains behind OCW Search will come along as well as
hopefully someone from the OpenLearn team at the OU.
