As I recall from lectures many years ago, giving factual evidence like
this is no different to a statement given by the man on the Clapham
omnibus. Hence no fee is payable.
Writing a medical report in which you express your medical opinion is
a different matter, but a police officer is unlikely to request such a
thing.
So, give no opinion. "I saw X and he told me Y and I observed Z."
