Dear All,
I am currently working on a South Sudanese case and the refugee is
claiming that he cannot return to South Sudan due to a blood feud. His
brother killed a Dinka man in Khartoum in 1998. The refugee claims that
due to this he cannot return to Wau South Sudan as this is the area the
killed man's family is from.
My questions are:
* Is blood feud part of South Sudanese society?
* Is it credible that the IC will face retaliation upon return?
I hope someone can provide me with detailed information regarding blood
feud in South Sudan and whether the IC will have a well-founded fear of
persecution if he were to be returned to South Sudan.
