Dear colleagues,
Medact is currently updating its Medical Peace Work online training
course. The course can be found at:
http://www.medicalpeacework.org/?q=node/7
The course includes a module on the health and well-being needs of
refugees and migrants. It intends to create awareness of the
psychosocial impacts of violent conflicts and of the journey of
exile. The module teaches skills in culturally sensitive health care
provision and address ethical dilemmas in relation to health and refugee
work.
Each module has an e-case and as a part of the module of refugees and
migrants, we would like to interview someone with experience of
Sangatte, Lampedusa or similar facility.
If you know of someone who has had these experiences and would like to
be interviewed, please contact Marion Birch at [log in to unmask] or
at 0207 324 4734.
Best regards,
Ezinda
