Hi all
In Montreal Canada, we are having debate on what is most appropriate
acessible way to render the "café terrace, I know that in Europe there are
many such terrace . How was the issue of access for persons with visual
disability and for persons using wheelchair dealt with ?
the isue here seems to be where these should be placed :
right in front of the restaurant or should these be set up near the
boarder of the sidewalk so as to allow for space to be used by passer-by
with or without wheelchairs
Please note that here we have almost 7 months of winter , so the café
terrace are only summer (3) months, thus all or most are temporary . Have
others dealt with this issue
Thank you
Maria Barile (MSW)
