Hi Annie,
I wanted to respond to your concerns as to why there were not so many people attending the conference from the list itself. For me, it has been a balance of meeting my personal interests with clinical training commitments. I suppose this too would include how I would be able to 'sell' this to those who sanction my leave and dont have an interest in climate change or community psychology. Which unfortunately in my limited experience so far seems to be the majority. Additionally, I do wonder how many members of the list are still 'active' and in touch with the list, as there seems to be only a small number who are involved in discussions. This is however the start of a different discussion.
I think for those of us interested, the theme and distance is and would be (looking forward too) no problem as it would give us an opportunity to link with like minded people. Also I cant really say no to Devon cream tea!
I wonder if the recent excellent news of the BPS Section of Community Psychology being approved will help any future prospective attendees to attend future conferences.
Thanks to all for the hard work thats gone into organising the conference (and the BPS Section), as a newcomer it really is appreciated and valued and look forward to future developments with great hopes.
Keep well,
Abdullah
