Hello
I'd like to let you know that the AGCAS Disability Task Group have recently published the report ‘What Happens Next? A Report on the First Destinations of 2008 Disabled Graduates’. The report looks at the positions of graduates who left university in the 2007/08 academic year and compares the employment outcomes of disabled and non-disabled university leavers 6 months after graduation. It draws upon the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey and is the first ‘What Happens Next? Report’ to be published since the start of the economic downturn. Figures for 2009 leavers are not yet available.
The report can be downloaded from the AGCAS website:
www.agcas.org.uk/agcas_resources/17-What-Happens-Next-A-Report-on-the-First-Destinations-of-Disabled-Graduates
The report is best printed in colour where possible as it contains a number of graphs. Please feel free to share the report with colleagues outside your organisation.
Section 5.4 (page 23) deals specifically with graduates who are Deaf or hearing impaired.
