ONS has announced the outcome of its consultation on the future of the National Congenital Anomaly System. As predicted, the conclusion was that the current system is not fit for purpose and that a better system is needed. In the current economic climate, you will not be surprised to hear that the current system has ended without being replaced. The alternative which has been provided is a committee which will try to find a source of funding.
