Situation:
OS X Leopard (fully patched)
X11: XQuartz 2.5.0 (xorg-server 1.7.6)
64-bit Starlink Hawaiki (fully patched afaict)
Problem: Launching GAIA appears to succeed, but yields the following,
apparently 104 times over without change:
gaia_wish(89252,0x7fff70067700) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fff70187ea0: Non-aligned pointer being freed (2)
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
.... which some of our users understandably find more alarming than
somewhat (as do I). Am I missing something obvious? Standing by to
wipe egg off face.
For comparison, the GAIA in 32-bit Hawaiki launches without such
distraction on the same system (I switch between them by fiddling with
$STARLINK_DIR, but putting in the sylink /star doesn't help). More
information available on request, naturally.
Thanks in advance.
