It's been a long time since I did these.
The issues that come immediately to mind are:
- mobility & stability on their feet
- distance visual acuity
- hearing acuity
- peripheral vision
- ability to turn neck/see over shoulder
- if using a lollipop, ability to lift & carry this
- do I need to say mental awareness & rational capacity?
Nowadays, there are also the other issues of safety to work with children.
Regards,
Trevor

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] School crossing patrol guide medical
Morning everyone,
I have worked for numerous councils, and one thing I have noted is that practice differs considerably between them for the above medical.
Does anyone else do these medicals? If so I would appreciate it if you would advise what your normal practice is when you receive the pre-employment form and what (if anything) you in relation to a medical.
Many thanks
Rachael :-)
