this is telling me that you haven't done the proper Starlink
initialisations. Assuming you're running C-shell do:
source $STARLINK_DIR/etc/login
source $STARLINK_DIR/etc/cshrc
before running GAIA or ICL. The first one sets your LD_LIBRARY_PATH which
sets the location of the shared libraries (note if you're running this as
a relocated installation make sure your value of STARLINK_DIR is set to
the head of the unpack tarball).
