Applications are invited for two lectureships (similar to assistant
professorships in Northern American terminology, but with an expectation
of tenure) in Statistics, ideally tenable from the summer of 2010 or a
date to be agreed.
The posts will give ambitious researchers and teachers an outstanding
opportunity to develop and extend their interests. The appointments will
be made on the Pathway 1, Lecturer 1b, Grade J scale, according to
qualifications and experience, and are permanent, subject to the
University's standard probation, progression and promotion procedures.
The positions form part of the SuSTaIn programme (Statistics
underpinning Science, Technology and Industry), a substantial
capacity-building Science and Innovation award from the UK EPSRC in
mathematical statistics aimed at equipping the discipline to face the
challenges of future applications.
Closing date for applications: 18 June 2010.
