Hi,
In FSL all first level analysis is done in the "functional space" -
that is,
at the resolution of the functional images. Registration is also run,
but
the images are not resampled into the "highres space" (of the structural
scans) or to standard space at this stage. This resampling is done at
the beginning of the higher level analysis. If you want to see your
first level images in a different space then you need to use the
Renderhighres_gui just as you have done. So you have done things
exactly right.
