Subject: May 2010 e-bulletin - Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics
and Area Studies
Dear colleague,
This month's ebulletin is now available on the subject centre website
at:
http://www.llas.ac.uk/e-bulletin
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
As colleagues will know, there is currently a lively debate about the
future shape of the HE Academy and the role of the Subject Centres
within it. We have drafted a short aide-memoire :
http://www.llas.ac.uk/news/6164 setting out the role and value of
Subject Centres as they have developed over the past 10 years. It has
been endorsed by the Directors of all 24 Subject Centres and a large
number of staff in Subject Centres. If you would like to express your
support by adding your name to the aide-memoire, please let us know by
sending your full name, job title and name of your institution to :

Best wishes
Mike Kelly, Director of LLAS
