We have confirmed presentations from :
Green Logistics project : Research into the sustainability of logistics
systems and supply chains. As concern for the environment rises, companies
must take more account of the external costs of logistics. Find out how this
research project is examining ways of reducing these externalities and
achieving a more sustainable balance between economic, environmental and
social objectives, focusing on the environment, climate change, air
quality, noise pollution.
Freightwize project : The overall objective of this EU 6th Framework
Programme project is to support the modal shift of cargo flows from road to
intermodal transport using road in combination with short sea shipping,
inland waterways and rail. Hear about this project, and how it is supporting
the co-operation of the transport freight and logistics sector in order to
develop and demonstrate suitable intermodal transport solutions in a range
of business cases.
Axillium Consulting Ltd : Hear about the next generation composite material
technologies from the Aerospace and Automotive sectors and how these
environmentally friendly materials can be introduced and used within the
Freight and logistics sector.
