CENTER FOR DATA AND ANALYSIS IN TRANSPORTATION

QUÉBEC CITY, CANADA
One postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) position is available at the Centre for Data and Analysis in Transportation (CDAT),
a multi-disciplinary research center based in the department of economics at the Université Laval in Québec City,
Canada. CDAT research focuses on the relationship between transportation activities, energy consumption, the
environment and the economy. Research at CDAT is essentially quantitative using econometric and statistical

The PDF will work on specific research projects that are part of CDAT research agenda as well as on his/her own
research projects, both of which are expected to lead to peer-reviewed publications in transportation reviews.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
o A PhD in transportation economics, transportation engineering or any other relevant disciplines allowing conducting
statistical and modelling research in the field of transport
o Good knowledge in econometrics or statistics and database management.
o Knowledge of French is not essential but is an asset as Quebec is a French speaking city.
CONDITIONS:
o The PDF could begin as early as August 2010.
o The position is for 12 months
o The remuneration depends upon the candidate experience and profile
o All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. However, Canadian citizen and permanent residents will be given
priority.
o The PDF is expected to work full time at CDAT in Quebec City, QC.
