OSIRIX is a free viewer on Mac that is good for visualization. It will take img,hdr or DICOM's easily.

Subject: [SPM] IMG/HDR association with program in Mac OS?
> Hello all,
I'm trying to find a solution to a Mac img/hdr program association
problem...being new to the OS. How do I set file types to open a program
of my choice in Snow Leopard? I've attempted to connect .img and .hdr
files with MRIcron such that clicking upon either file type will bring
up MRIcron, but the Mac OS keeps on re-associating those file types with
a DiskImage Installer program. Very frustrating. I'm willing to try
another visualization application if necessary, but hope to keep MRIcron
as my primary point-and-click program from Finder.
Thanks,
Jeff
