>When Alison's pose of uber-feminist backfired in the necessity of her having to drag up the women she banned,
Excuse me? My feminism has never been a "pose", but absolutely
central to my life. When I was a listowner, I always listened to the
women on the list. And I can assure you there were many more than Anny
Ballardini, who has been sniping maliciously and slanderously at me
for years. Anny's claim that she never banned any women (ie me) is an
outright lie. Or perhaps she has a very selective case of amnesia.
I might also point out that feminism has never meant that all women
agree. They differ as much as from each other as men do, being human
beings.
The paucity of response from women in this thread is probably its own
answer. Given some of the neanderthal responses to the issue that
some men have expressed, and given the crap I've copped here, I really
can't blame them for not wanting to enter the fray. Which is, frankly,
rather sad.
