I'm not sure what you mean here Chris, but the photographer I saw the
other day said he took his digital photos in colour & then turned them
to B&w because in colour there were far more bits in the image, so he
could make the photo larger without losing sharpness of image.
The photo looked fine in b&w, but it was only an ordinary portrait; so
I can well imagine some of the subtleties of trad b&w....
