I have been cajoled into giving a talk in the autumn to the local science group of the
University of the Third Age, and am planning to call it "Copper through the Ages".
I have previously talked to the group on the theme "Metals - where on Earth do they
come from", in which I covered quite a bit of geology, plus mining, mineral processing
and extractive metallurgy. Some of what I used then could be repeated, but not too much.
My question is, does anyone know of good quality clear diagrams which can be freely
copied for use in a PowerPoint presentation which show things like the relationship between
granites and vein deposits, as in Cornwall say? Also, the zoning of copper deposits
down from the oxidised gossan zone, through secondary enrichment to the primary
hydrothermal zone??
I have tried searches through Google, but haven't come up with anything suitable yet.
