Dear all,
We would like to inform you that the registration is now open for the 6th
Annual Postgraduate Conference Medievalism Transformed 2010. The theme of
the conference is: Every discrete person that redeth or hereth this...?:
readers, listeners and owners of books in the Middle Ages & Beyond.

The conference will be held on the 11th of June 2010 at Bangor University.
This is an interdisciplinary postgraduate conference accepting papers on
studies in the medieval period, including but not limited to literature,
history, theology and music.

Our guest speaker this year is Mr Ian Rumbold, (University of Nottingham)
co-author of the book Hermann Pötzlinger's Music Book. Mr Rumbold will be
speaking on 'Hermann Pötzlinger's Library.' Mr Rumbold?s paper on this music
miscellany will be of interest to a broad range of students.

The conference will include a workshop on the Bangor Pontifical manuscript.

Medievalism Transformed wishes to thank the Society for the Study of
Medieval Languages and Literature (Medium Aevum) for its support for the
2010 conference.

Further information about the conference is available from
http://medievalismtransformed.bangor.ac.uk.

The registration fee is £17.
Undergraduate students can attend can attend Ian Rumbold?s plenary speech or
one of the sessions for free?, but will need to register if they want to
attend the full day.

The conference organizers are looking for 1-2 student volunteers to help
with the registration and arrangements for paper sessions. The volunteers
will not need to pay the registration fee.

Kind regards,
Anastasija Ropa, School of English
