Dear Martin Brazley
May I be permitted to attend your Online Audience Workshop on June 21
please?
Name: Judy Booth
Job: Curator REME Museum of Technology, Berkshire
Email: [log in to unmask]
Tel: 01189763563
Justification: Am currently working on a rebuild of our old website and
it would be very useful to learn enough to develop the site in response
to the needs of the users. Rather than just what we want to put up.
Regards
Judy Booth

Subject: Online Audiences workshops at Museum of London: repeated 21
June
The Online Audiences workshop on 11 June is now almost full and an
additional date has been added: Monday 21 June.
Online Audiences: an introduction to planning and implementing research
into online audiences - aimed largely at non-technical roles, but all
are welcome, subject to availability.
Everyone has their own favourite way of gathering intelligence about
their users, whether surveys, interviews, focus groups, user
observation, web statistics... - but are we clear about the questions
we are trying to answer, and how do we know whether what we do will
actually translate into meaningful progress towards our key objectives?
These workshops are funded by the London Hub. Priority will be given
to London Hub partner staff, but a few additional places are available,
free of charge.
Each workshop runs from 1000-1330 and is limited to 15 places in total.
The dates are Friday 11 June (couple of places left) and Monday 21 June.
Participants can attend one or both workshops, subject to availability.
The outline programme is the same but
Programme
0930 Tea, coffee, biscuits and registration
1000 Welcome, introductions and brief overview of the day
1010 Overview, including data gathering techniques such as focus
groups, surveys, user observation, web statistics
1030 Task: prioritise your online audience research activity
1115 Break (tea, coffee and biscuits)
1140 Groups present audience research plans
1210 Review key points and identify toolkit needs
1320 Feedback forms
1330 Close
We will be making use of resources on planning and conducting research
into online audiences produced by the Strategic Content Alliance,
available at
http://sca.jiscinvolve.org/audience-publications/
Participants are encouraged to review the Concise Guide to Researching
Audiences before the day.
The workshops are free to attend. To book simply reply to this email.
