One final word from me: for those who aren't aware of it, the SEOMoz "Search
Engine Ranking Factors" is the bible for SEO beginners, in terms of where
it's worth spending time (low hanging fruit), and where it may not be. This
report has been aggregated from the opinion and experience of the top SEO
experts from across the world.

Gemma, in your particular case, you'll want to concentrate on the On-Page
factors (keyword and non-keyword) in the first instance (Off-Page factors
are about issues outside of your website, such as who is linking to you and
how, which I'd forget about for now - get your 'on page' right first).
Start at the top with the factors you can change (i.e. ensure your page
<titles> are correct, <h1> tags, internal/external link anchor tag text,
...) and work your way down - that way, you get the most bang-for-your-buck.
