Drawing on research that engages directly with material culture by scholars from a range of disciplines and approaches, seminars will alternate between presentations at the IHR and presentations at the V&A which will involve direct contact with objects. It is hoped to attract a broad range of scholars and students to this exciting new programme, which is intended as an annual summer series. All those with a research interest in the field are warmly welcome.
