You realise you're now our local CAS expert - all queries come to you..

It's Friday and my brain died yesterday after McShib so I'm just trying to think about this....
(It's a long time since I used TestShib and that was the V1 version which I have a gut feeling _did_ need to know how to get to your IdP all on its own?)
I just had a poke on the site and what Peter was saying is that you need to untick the box that says "Check domain name validity" on the page when you were registering your IdP. Then it won't worry about going to the DNS and everything will work (perhaps....).
Personally, although I did use testshib back in the 1.3 days I find it more sensible to test straight in the UK Federation against the test site https://target.iay.org.uk rather than putting in one set of configuration and then tearing it all down again.
(But this might be heresy and will get me drummed out of the cubs)
**Don't test against other SPs until you have tested against Ians SP** Though !!
