Carers Policy and Development Worker
To work with Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic communities in London
£28,404 – £29,904 inc. ILW. 35 hours pw. London SE1
This exciting role will involve working on your own initiative to seek to influence local and regional decision making in London and develop policy on identified issues of specific relevance to BAME carers. A self-starter, you will build and sustain a network of active carers from the Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across London.
Working alongside our current network of carer support professionals, the London Black Carers Workers Network, you will play a key role in supporting BAME carers to engage with policy and decision making bodies. With a strong interest in current affairs and experience of policy and network development work, you will have some understanding of policy and decision making processes across London. With excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your own work, you will be a valuable addition to Carers UK’s team.
Carers UK offers 25 days annual leave plus three days at Christmas, a Group Personal Pension Scheme, season ticket loan and promotes flexible working practices. For an application pack please telephone: 0207 378 4975 (option 1) e-mail: [log in to unmask] or download the papers below.
