We will be happy to receive papers for the workshop we organise in “From Information Society to knowledge Society in Eastern Europe”
The workshop is part of the 14th East-European Conference in Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS), that is held in Novi Sad, Serbia from the 20 – 24 September 2010

Workshop Topics:
Submissions are invited on, but not limited to the following topics:
* sustainability of information society and knowledge society;
* from ICT sector to creative industries in Eastern Europe;
* collaborative networks and knowledge networking in support of creativity;
* Web 2.0 and semantic web in the progression from Information Society to Knowledge Society;
* the role of vision-building and foresight in promoting Information Society at national, regional and pan-European level;
* limits of the technological determinism as background for traditional approaches in building the Information Society;
* dilemmatic challenges to be managed in the development of Information Society: information transparency vs. preserving privacy; fee (commercial) or free information; technology-pushed vs. society-pulled knowledge-based development.
