Hello fellow BoB-users,
Here at the University of Brighton we have been subscribing to BoB since August 2009. We are currently reviewing our off-air recording provision - the balance between hard copies and BoB; how BoB has been received by academics, etc. - and wondered if other institutions would be kind enough to share their experiences of BoB with us, how the service has impacted on your off-air provision, and how your academics are using the service?
We are currently surveying our academic staff to find out how BoB is being used by them – essentially, are they using BoB to show clips in lectures; using BoB to show entire programmes in lectures; asking students to watch material via BoB prior to a lecture; or do they still rely/prefer hard copies of material. Hopefully we have got to our academics before they get caught up in exam-fever and so will get a representative response!
If anyone is interested I would be happy to provide a summary of responses and a summary of our survey results for the list.
I look forward to hearing how BoB is fitting in at your institutions!
Many thanks,
Jenny
