There's also the guidelines (attached) for oral historians which we
issue on a daily basis here at the BL.
With best wishes

Hi Cathlin
You may already know of this, but the Vermont Folklife Centre's "Digital
Audio Field Recording Equipment Guide"
http://www.vermontfolklifecenter.org/archive/res_audioequip.htm is very
useful, and is kept pretty much up to date.
Regards
Will

Subject: audio recording machines
Dear all
We are hoping to upgrade our audio recording equipment. The machines
would be used for fieldwork, including interviews, songs and music,
which is subsequently archived. Does anyone have any recommendations for
particular machines, based on practical experience?
Likewise if you have had particular problems with any machines or
brands, please let me know.
We'd really appreciate any feedback/ comments.
