Creativity in Design for Interactive Systems
14th - 18th June 2010
A 5 day continuing professional development course run by the Centre for HCI Design and the Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice at City University London.
Apply Creative Thinking, Techniques and Tools to Your Projects
At the end of the course you will have a thorough understanding of creativity and innovation in software development. You will have skills to use and adapt creativity techniques in different stages of a software project. You will have knowledge of creativity support tools sufficient to adopt them in your projects.
Students on this course get the opportunity to explore and use the fabulous technologies and spaces in the City Interaction Lab (http://hcid.soi.city.ac.uk/cityinteractionlab/). This includes interactive surfaces and the newly installed Creative Design Pods tailored to support creative problem solving in groups. The Lab provides you with the perfect space in which to learn about and use different creativity techniques and tools.
Attend this course if you are involved in software projects and believe that more effective creative thinking can improve them, or if you simply want to know about what creativity is and how it can be applied to projects.
Great for requirements analysts, UX analysts, information architects, interaction designers, software developers or project managers.
