This is a site specific LAB that aims to experiment with integrating digital technology (i.e. internet, mobile phone, web-cam, digital cam etc.), the performers should be interested in site specific performances, physical theatre, digital technology and devising theatre. Creativity, flexibility and group work are crucial!
The Site Specific LAB is the first step in developing a devising technique for site specific performances that use technology. It is an experiment and a learning process of pervasive technology (digital media). Taking site specific devising techniques and framework, we question the usage of technology in a participatory performance. During the LAB we explore the question of the audience and their engagement with the performance, the site and the technology. The project is devised as an ensemble where each member helps to structure the final performance.
As it is a scratch performance and a LAB, unfortunately I cannot offer any conventional payment i.e. money. However, this is a unique and a challenging opportunity to work with technology and to experiment with methods of integrating it in a participatory site specific performance.
