Dear All
My first time on the list so forgive me if I am preaching to the
converted.
I am at the moment changing the unit here to digital capture, but for a
short time we will be running both systems in tandem, but to continue
with a microfilming option, we have been sending tests to three file
conversion suppliers who are using OP500 and SMA 51 and OPA file
converters for the creation of films from born digital files anyone
wishing to discuss this give me a call

Subject: Digitisation v microfilming
Hello All
This subject has probably been posted many times before but I'm looking
into getting a large number (c.8 x four drawer filing cabinets full) of
membership forms either digitised or microfilmed. I'm leaning towards
microfilming as an option as, although it is more old fashioned, it is a
tried and tested format which has a longer preservation lifespan. Has
anyone else been faced with a similar quandary?
Also could anyone recommend any digitisation or microfilming companies
they've used in the past?
Regards
Caroline Lam
