The Food and Environment Research Agency’s role is to support and develop a sustainable food chain, a healthy natural environment, and to protect the community from biological and chemical risks. The Agency employs over 700 scientists and experts and works with over 1000 partners in 102 countries world-wide.
Fera’s Evidence and Analysis Programme contributes to evidence based policy and decision making by providing rigorous analysis of scientific data for customers in government and industry. It comprises two teams specialising in Risk and Numerical Sciences, and Land Use and Sustainability.
Leading and managing a diverse range of consultancy and research projects, applying advanced statistical techniques and providing expert statistical advice. A degree and preferably a PhD or other postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject is required. Candidates without this level of qualification will need to demonstrate relevant experience. In addition you will be a motivated team player/leader, organised and have excellent communications and IT skills.
