We wish to recruit an experienced quantitative health services researcher
or medical statistician to our expanding Clinical Trials and Evaluation
Unit, which is a UKCRN provisionally-registered clinical trials unit. This
post is funded through a NIHR Biomedical Research Unit in Cardiovascular
Disease, hosted by the University Hospitals Bristol Foundation Trust in
partnership with the Bristol Heart Institute.
You should have a track record of clinical research and research funding.
You will be expected to be responsible for major research studies from
conception to publication, to manage staff working on studies, to supervise
data management and analyses, to interpret and write up the results of
studies, and to communicate effectively with practising clinicians about
epidemiological features of studies to inform choices about study design
and the interpretation of findings. You will initially focus on research
themes identified in the programme of the Biomedical Research Unit in
Cardiovascular Disease, but will have the opportunity to develop your own
research programme.
If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a permanent
contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research
experience. Further information can be found at
