I will say that the Dark Incidents of 2008 were brought up (in the
thread "Let me put this another way") by Anny herself, NOT by me, to
illustrate her thesis that I am a hypocritical feminist because I
banned women as well as men from the list while I was listowner. My
responses since have been defensive: like most people, I don't much
like being misrepresented.
I don't see any profit in dragging up old arguments and old grudges:
it's pointless and distracting. Anyone who cares to bother can look
things up in the archives and make their own judgments. For my part, I
think Anny's accounts are both inaccurate and partial. My actions when
I was co-listowner with Randolph Healey were always taken in
consultation with him and were always thought about carefully. This
isn't to claim they were always right or the best actions.
This is really the last thing I'm going to say on this question, even
if Anny brings it up again. And that's a promise.
