We take a slightly different approach because all the citation
information and h-indexes are all downstream (i.e. after the papers are
written). So we run a session called "Maximising the Impact of Your
Papers" as an upstream approach which essentially covers similar
material to your own but focuses on how to target journals so that the h
index at the end of the sausage machine can be enhanced. This seems to
bring this a little closer to the authors when writing their papers. We
run it just before an institutional writing week.
Just a thought!
