Apologies for raining on anyone's parade. The HESA finance data being provided to THES/ThomsonReuters by HESA is not at subject level as they have requested from each institution. I guess that the HESA data might just be used for checking the totals. I've emailed ThomsonReuters to ask about this but not had a reply yet.
One further thing, I previously asked about the large portion of income that is not directly attributed to subject areas and was advised to pro-rate this out for the subejct areas, so that the total for the subjects matches the total for the university. Does this match what others are doing/have done?
