The School of Information Systems Computing and Mathematics, Brunel University, UK is seeking to appoint a
Research Fellow to work on a project in conjunction with Moorfields Eye Hospital. The project involves the
use of data quality metrics (e.g. false positive and negative rates) to incorporate uncertainty into
computational models that will model the spatial and temporal nature of visual field data of glaucoma
sufferers and suspects. The aim is to develop models, with a high predictive accuracy, that are "aware"
of the low quality of this type of medical data. It is envisaged that Probabilistic Cellular Automata
and Evolutionary Computation techniques will be utilised.
