BUPRENORPHINE IS MOST EFFECTIVE DETOXIFICATION MEDICATION
A new methodology enabling a more comprehensive analysis of results of relevant studies has revealed
that on average buprenorphine probably has the edge over methadone among the main medications used
to help dependent patients complete withdrawal from heroin and allied drugs. But if patients
actually choose the least effective medications, they seem to work as well.
