Hi Elena,
I've just installed a SL5 bdii from scratch today and it went (almost)
without a hitch.
I kept a log:

The siteinfo.def is password protected, but as it's very short (and
harmless), I've attached it at the end. There are probably one or two
variables in there you don't actually need, but they won't do any
harm.
