Post-doc position in Hannover, Germany (Parkinson’s Disease research project)
The Clinic of Neurology (Hannover Medical School, Germany) is inviting applications for 1 Postdoctoral Research position focused on the neurocognitive abnormalities of Parkinson’s Disease starting September 2010. This full-time position is planned for an initial 2 years, with a possible extension.
The Department provides an excellent multi-disciplinary and interactive neuroimaging environment with a 1.5T MR scanner, and an additional 3T scanner ready at the start of the project.
We expect that you will prepare and conduct fMRI experiments, and be responsible for subsequent data analysis using SPM. Later, the authoring of scientific manuscripts for publication in high-tier journals is desired.
Topics are cognitive conflict adaptation effects and resting state in Parkinson’s disease.
We look for a highly motivated post doc who has a strong background in image processing (e.g., SPM and GIFT) and an interest in clinical neuroimaging, cognitive neuroscience, and clinical neuropsychology. Prior formal course work in areas of neuropsychology, neuroanatomy, statistics, or behavioral neurology are required. You must have a Doctorate in neuroscience, neuropsychology or related field including a completed dissertation prior to starting the fellowship. You must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and written skills, be able to work in a dynamic and diverse research environment, and be able to show evidence of previous publishing success.
