Hi psci-comers,
I've been sent the below request for help with an outreach project. The guy seems to have funding (no idea how much!) he just needs lab space and someone with an exciting ideas of what to do to engage his cohort with chemistry in a very applied way that will stimulate.
Am sure someone on the list will have some great ideas up their sleeves and may have contacts at a University who would be willing to offer lab space over the summer.
Please contact Tony directly if you think you can help
Rachel

Dear Rachel
I spoke to you earlier this week.
I run a charity called Generating Genius. www.generatinggenius.org.uk
We have over the years concentrated on creating residential summer schools in Science at Universities. We tend target students aged 14 -16.
We have identified some funding. We want to do an exciting program that involves chemistry - we want it to have a popular slant. It could be looking at chemicals used in hair processing. It could be food chemistry. It could be chemistry and engineering.
It has to last at least four days with some real outcomes. Perhaps Apprentice style group challenges. Can you pass this request to your contacts. We would need Lab and room space as well as access to accommodation if it is outside of London.
Kind Regards
Dr Tony Sewell
